ROCKY MOUNT- Funeral services for James “Dick” Evans, 81, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 were Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 12 noon at Church on the Rise. Burial followed at Gardens of Gethsemane with Rev. Howard Kendrick officiating.

Surviving: daughters, Mary Bettie Williams, Adria Webb, Sonja Evans, Gina Lewis, Dazella Battle, Anita Rogers, all of Rocky Mount; sons, James D. Evans of Nashville, Joe Evans of Rocky Mount, Keith Evans of Greensboro; sisters, Louise Richardson of Nashville, Bettie Lee Evans and Shirley Spruill, both of Hollister; brothers Percy Evans of Washington, Robert Evans of Hollister; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
