Jasper Lee “Jack” Poland, 62, passed away, Wednesday November 16, 2011 at his home. He was born April 29, 1949 in Edgecombe County. He was preceded in death by his father William “Buck” McRae Poland.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rachel Eason Poland, wife, Dale Lucas Poland, one son, Greg Poland and Michelle Narron of Rocky Mount, daughter, Denise Poland Torres and Brian Keith Lamm of Tarboro, three sisters, Peggy Radford and husband Grover of Castalia, Esther Poland and Dennis Proctor of Sandy Cross, Kathy Medlin and husband Jerry of Sandy Cross, four grandchildren; fifteen nieces and nephews, fourteen great- nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held November 19, 201  at Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville.
