NASHVILLE – Ernest Sessoms Dempsey Sr., 51, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Funeral services were held March 24 at the Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas E. McCullers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Ernest Sessoms Dempsey Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Shekila D. Crews of Danbury, Conn.; four brothers, Roland T. Dempsey Jr. of Reno, Nev., Joel V. Dempsey Sr. of Nashville, Ahren C. Crews of Danbury, Conn., and Eric Cooper of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
