ROCKY MOUNT – William Hart Battle, 88, of Rocky Mount, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenvlle.

Funeral services were held beginning at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  The interment took place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
