ROCKY MOUNT - Lindberg M. Pittman, 72, passed away, Thursday, October 27, 2011. He was born June 6, 1939 in Nash County. He was the son of the late Joseph Willie Pittman Sr. and Bertha Bone Pittman. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Elizabeth Rose Pittman, three brothers, Tommy, Jerry and Joe Pittman, Jr. one sister, Magalene Baker.

He is survived by two sons, Lindy Pittman and wife Jean of Rocky Mount, Larry Pittman and fiancé Jennifer of Macclesfield, one daughter Melody White and husband Mike of Nashville, four sisters, Kathalene Baker, Deliah Bulluck and husband James, Betty Jean Blackford and husband Tom, all of Rocky Mount, Crystal Hare and husband Wayne of Zebulon, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held Sunday October 30, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mills officiating.
