Thurman Ervin Tyson Jr. passed away October 21, 2011. He was born December 31, 1952.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Rita Ingram Tyson of Rocky Mount, daughters Lindsay Tyson Jones (husband, Jeremy) and Olivia Megan Tyson (fiance, D. J. Fussell) both of Greenville, one grandson; mother, Barbara Tyson of Spring Hope; brothers Danny Tyson of Spring Hope, Jerry Tyson of Nashville and Joseph Tyson of Seattle, Washington. Thurman was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Tyson Sr. and his grandson Ayden Brooks Jones.

Services were held  Monday October 24, 2011,at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road.

Flowers accepted, but monetary gifts to the Ayden Brooks Jones benevolent fund are gratefully appreciated. Contributions to the fund may be submitted to Christ Church, 745 Davenport Farm Rd, Winterville NC.
