NASHVILLE - Carl Ernest Jacobs, 81 died Wednesday, March 14, 2007. He was born in Waco, Texas, January 21, 1926 son of the late Ernest Jacobs and Annie Baines Jacobs.

Mr. Jacobs was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and a US Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Harris Jacobs of the home; daughters, Ann Hartley of Rocky Mount and Lois Tharrington of Charlotte; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Edwards officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be sent to Elm Grove Baptist Church, 2365 Old Bailey Highway, Nashville, N. C. 27856.
