PAUL JOYNER


SANDY CROSS – Paul Joyner, 91, died Saturday, March 17, 2007. A graveside service was held March 20 at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville with the Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating.

He was born July 15, 1915, the son of the late John Dallas and Della Weaver Joyner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Baker Joyner; twin brother, Silas "Red" Joyner, brother, Bauzy Joyner; and sisters, Mamie J. Boyd, Maggie J. Latta and Lessie Joyner.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol J. Taylor of Sandy Cross and Rachel J. Griffin and husband L.C. of Rincon, Ga.; five sons, Bobby L. Joyner and wife Jean and Ronnie W. Joyner and wife Janice, all of Sandy Cross, Billy D. Joyner and wife Patricia of West Mount, Larry R. Joyner and wife Ida of Nashville, and J.P. Joyner and wife Janet of Siler City; one sister, Geneva Joyner Baker of Sandy Cross; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, Nashville.
