ROCKY MOUNT – Freeman Wayne Owens, 64, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. A funeral service was held March 16 at Fellowship of Praise with the Rev. Dalton Coppedge officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

He was born May 5, 1942 in Greene County, the son of the late Julius Freeman and Lillie Thomas Owens. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Wayne Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Norris Owens, two daughters, Amy Michelle Owens of Dunn and Teresa Ann Harris of Greenville; one brother, James Larry Owens of Elm City; one sister, Judy Owens Bradley of Rocky Mount and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, Nashville.
