NASHVILLE – Nannie Marie Howell Alston, 76, died Thursday, March 15, 2007. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at the Bunn Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Homes officiating. Burial will follow in the Howell family cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Melvin Howell of the home; three sisters, Pauline Joyner of Nashville, Wyomia Tucker of Newark, N.J., and Elizabeth Howell of Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Wake services will be held on Thursday, March 22, from 7-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home chapel in Nashville.
