Bobby R. Drake, 51, passed Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church. Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Douglas Leonard officiated.

Survivors include his wife Bonaga Renee Drake; daughters, Takisha Drake of Centerville and Deidra Whitaker of Rocky Mount; sons, Delancy Drake of the home, Jermaine and Quinten Drake of Louisburg; sisters, Betty Dickerson and Linda Drake of Rocky Mount and Jo Ann Davis of Nashville; brothers, Edward Earl Drake, Onnie Drake and John Drake, all of Rocky Mount; 7 grandchildren.
