John Richard (Jack) Kandl, age 69, died at home on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. He was born June 15, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to the late John D. and Alma M. Kandl.

Jack is survived by his wife, Karen, his daughter and her husband, Karen (Kary) and Joe Pechmann. Cullowhee; his daughter and her husband, Kim and Shannon Miller, Northfield, MN; his daughter and her husband, Susan and Nate Buchta, Sartell, MN; four grandchildren and one brother, Donald (Laura) Kandl, Flossmoor, IL.

Funeral services for John R. (Jack) Kandl were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 315 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount. The Rev. Tim Meares, pastor, officiated. Entombment was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
