Minnie Davis Adams Winstead, age 87 passed away August 10, 2011 at her home in Sharpsburg.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patia L. and father, Bynum Davis; husbands, Vance Adams and Joseph Winstead; sister, Ruby Reason and brother-in-law, Marvin “Doc” Reason; brother, Rex Davis; and sister-in-law, Nannie Bell; nephews, Glenn Reason and Bobby Davis; and great-great niece, Rose Proctor.

She is survived by her nephews, Jimmy Reason and wife Carolyn, Ronnie Reason and wife Marsha, Ricky Reason and wife Lorenia “Peanut”, Larry Reason, Jimmy Davis and wife Sandra; nieces, Bettie Jean Winstead, Patsy Davis and Ida Reason; many great nephews and nieces; many great-great nephews and nieces and great-great- great nephews and nieces.

A celebration of her life was held Friday, August 12, 2011 in the chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, RM at  7 p.m. with the Pastor Vicky Akers. Graveside services were   held Saturday, August 13, at 10 a.m at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
