Nina Ruth Jernigan Bailey, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 03, 2011. She was born in Nash County, February 7, 1928. Nina was the daughter of the late Mack and Vada Jernigan. She was the widow of James Harold Lee Bailey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jernigan and a sister, Helen Jernigan Brantley.

She is survived by eight children, sons, Kenneth Bailey and wife Tonya, Ray Bailey and wife Carolyn, Allen Bailey, five daughters, Phyllis Webb and husband James, Margie Edwards, Geraldine Whitley, Lily Manning and Jean Artis and husband Freddie, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister, Becky Ward and husband Rev. Horace Ward.

Visitation was Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Horace Ward officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery.
