TARBORO - Mrs. Shameka N. Battle, 29, of Tarboro, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

There was a visitation for Mrs. Battle from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 29, 2011, also in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  The interment took place immediately following the service in the Dancy Family Cemetery in Princeville.
