ROCKY MOUNT – Brenda Faye Knight Thompson, 60, of Rocky Mount died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Visitation for Mrs. Thompson was held from 5 to 7  p.m., on Monday, July 4, 2011, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Funeral services were  held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Thorne’s Chapel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.  Rev. Richard Battle   officiated. The interment took place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
