William “Ralph” Jones, 79, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011. He was born April 22, 1932 in Nash County. Ralph was the son of the late Johnnie and Maggie Stallings Jones. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Allen Jones, grandson, Travis and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his  wife of 57 years, Edna Winstead Jones, two daughters, Gale Parker and husband Steve of Rocky Mount, Sheila Edwards and husband Curtis of Spring Hope, two brothers, Frank Jones and wife Louise of Rocky Mount, Ronald Lee Jones and wife Jackie of Nashville, two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 7- 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A graveside service was held Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Dwight Jones officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Vaughans Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
