Janie Cox Sharpe, 86, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, died on Thursday, May 26, 2011.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. Rev. George E. Battle will be officiating. The interment will take place immediately following the service in the Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
