NASHVILLE - Funeral services for James Edward Alston, 66, who died Saturday, April 16, 2011, will be today, Wednesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Social Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Nathaniel Bunn officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Mozelle V. Alston of the home; son, Troy Alston of Rocky Mount; sisters, Juanita Wright and Mary Ann Perry, both of Nashville; brothers, Douglas Alston Jr. of Whitakers, and Robert Lee Alston of Brockton, Mass.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 19, from 3-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.
