ROCKY MOUNT - William Cooper, 72, of Rocky Mount, died on Monday, March 28, 2011 at South Village Nursing Center in Rocky Mount.

A visitation for Mr. Cooper was held from 3 - 5 p.m., on Friday, April 1, 2011, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Olive Chapel Baptist Church in Sharpsburg.  Pastor Jimmy Williams officiated.  The interment took place immediately following the service in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Wilson.
