Nolia Winstead Davis, 81, passed away, Thursday, March 10, 2011. She was born February 22, 1930 in Edgecombe County. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Johnson Whitley. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Winstead in 1977.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Winstead Waters and husband George of Raleigh, her son, David Winstead and wife Norma of Spring Hope,  three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 5:00-7:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A gathering to celebrate Nolia’s life was Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 3:00PM graveside at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with the Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.
