Robert C. Bobbitt, Sr., 83, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011. Robert was born December 10, 1927 in Nash County, son of the late Willie N. and Madelyn Bobbitt.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Bobbitt; son Bob Bobbitt and wife Debbie and daughter Nicki Hedrick and husband Steve, all of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by two sisters Marion Rollins and Eloise Riggs.

Funeral service were held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Lowery officiating.  The family   received friends from 2 - 3:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.  Entombment followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
