Rocky Mount - Mr. Joseph Leonard Bonner, Sr., 89, of Rocky Mount, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in Greenville.

There was a Visitation for Mr. Bonner from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Friday, January 28, 2011 in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.  Rev. Richard Gerald officiated.  The interment took place immediately following the service in the Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
