Charles Rucker “Pete” Vaughn, 79, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011.  He was born July 22, 1931 in Rutherford County North Carolina, son of the late Jesse and Aggie Allen Vaughn.  

He is survived by his wife, Teeny Morgan Matthews Vaughn and was “Papa Pete” to four daughters, Rebecca Tisdale, Karen Matthews, Lori Stephens and Denise Hall; two  sons,  Randy Matthews and Steve Matthews; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

 A funeral Service was held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home.  The family received friends following the service, and other times at the home of Steve Matthews 3169 Macedonia Rd., Spring Hope.
