Erma Rae Wilder Patterson, 88, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011. She was the wife of the late J.B. Patterson and daughter of James Ermon and Sallie Lou Wilder.

She was also the mother of Tex ( Deceased), Eugene (Pat) and wife Carol of Rocky Mount, Connie Dickens (Deceased) Shirley Hearn and husband Jerry of Rocky Mount, Cindy Vick and husband Gene of Middlesex, Pat Hinnant and husband Rocky of Greenville, six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Benvenue Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Ellis and Rev. Tom Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow after the service at Oakdale Cemetery of Spring Hope.
