JOHN “LIL MAN” BATTLE
NASHVILLE - Funeral services for John “Lil Man” Battle, 61, who died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, will be Saturday, Dec. 4 at 12 p.m., at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Scott officiating.

Surviving: wife, Julie Robinson Battle of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Sharon Battle of Ft. Washington, Md.; sons, John Battle of Washington, D.C., Detron McKinley Bennett of Rocky Mount; mother, Mozella Battle of Nashville; sister, Bernice Blount of Wilson; brothers, Matthew Battle of Silver Spring, Md., Spencer Battle of Fort Washington, Md., Willie Battle of Washington, D.C., Tyrone Battle of Nashville; eight grandchildren.

Wake services will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, Dec. 3, from 7 - 8 p.m.
