FIRE PREVENTION EDUCATION
Nashville Fire Department attended Nashville Elementary School during Fire Prevention Week.  All the students at the school met in the gym.  Captain Chris Joyner spoke to children about fire safety giving tips such as knowing two ways out of your house, knowing what number to dial in case of an emergency, crawl low in smoke, and to not play with lighters or matches. Pluggie also visited with the children, and the kids got to ask pluggie some questions about fire safety. The department also visited local daycares in Nashville and showed off the firetrucks.  The firefighters also dressed up into their turn out gear for the younger kids so kids will know what firefighters look like dressed in their gear. Pictured above, Firefighter Kehoni Green shows children the firetruck. (Photo contributed.)
