MARGIE ALMETA GARRIS
ROCKY MOUNT - Margie Almeta Garris, 72, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010. She was born March 14, 1938 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late William Louis and Viola Cooke Garris.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Edward Lewis Garris and John Lee Garris; and her sisters, Annie Pearl Perdue and Lucille G. Farmer.

She is survived by her sisters; Mattie G. Harris, Hazel W. Mordica; sisters-in-laws, Barbara Garris and Margaret G. Alexander; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Benvenue Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends other times at the home of her nephew, Marlon Weeks, 6487 Gold Drive, Battleboro, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Nash General.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals & Cremations, 661 English Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
