MAURICE LINCKE WILSON
Maurice Lincke Wilson of Alton, IL died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

The grandson and namesake of Maurice W. Lincke, founder of The Graphic, Maurice Wilson was the son of Emily Lincke Wilson and Dr. W. Trent Wilson of Hopewell, VA. He was born on December 23, 1945, graduated from Hopewell High School and earned a BA degree in Art from Richmond Professional Institute, now Virginia Commonwealth University.

After college he visited St. Louis, MO, liked it and resided in the Missouri, Illinois area for the remainder of his life. For many years he was the food purchasing agent for Dobbs House, a division of Host International. His most recent position was with Dierbergs Family Stores, headquartered in Chesterfield, MO.

He is survived by his sons Christopher Lincke Wilson and Scott Ashlyn Wilson of Alton; his granddaughter Alison Christine Wilson, also of Alton; a sister Christine W. Johnson of Hopewell, VA and Santa Monica, CA; one nephew, Mark B. Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA; two nieces, Elena J. Mitchell of Morristown, NJ and Elizabeth L. Wilson of Richmond, VA; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Rollin Frye of Alton; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. Trent Wilson of Hopewell, VA and his brother, W. Trent Wilson. Jr.

The family will hold private funeral services in Alton, Illinois. A memorial Wake will be held in Hopewell, VA at a later date.
