ELIZABETH “LIB” M. ROWE NINES
Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Maynard Rowe Nines, age 85, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Agapé Senior Living in Rock Hill South Carolina.

Elizabeth was born in Jackson, North Carolina in 1925; ‘Lib’ was the daughter of the late Silas Tilman Maynard and Mary Belle Boysworth and the step-daughter of Emma Lee Rouse-Maynard.  She was preceded in death by her infant sister Edith Helen; her birth mother and her brothers Frank and William Maynard. She was twice widowed by H. Hubert Rowe in 1979 and William W. Nines in 2007.

Surviving are her children, H. Cleveland Rowe and wife, Barbara of Nashville, N.C.; Amy L. Rowe of Spring Hope, N.C.; and L. Thomas Rowe of Fort Mill, S.C. Also surviving are her sisters, Eva Collie Bryant and Florene Robertson and husband, Dr. Leon, both of Rocky Mount, N.C. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC, with The Rev. Dr. Robin D. Fisher officiating; reception followed immediately in the church parlors.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, North Carolina, with Major Al Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either, the Salvation Army, 420 Paul Street, Rocky Mount, N.C. 27803 or the Organ Preservation Foundation of First Lutheran Church, PO Box 969, Jamestown, New York 14702.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals & Cremations, 661 English Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
