VIRGINIA BARNES PEARSON BALLENTINE
Virginia Barnes Pearson Ballentine, 85, passed away on September 1, 2010. She was born on December 14, 1924 to the late Clarence L. and Bessie Barnes Pearson.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ballentine of Rocky Mount ; son and daughter-in-law, W. Keith and Susan Ballentine of Rocky Mount; her brother and sister-in-law, C.L. and Jeanne Pearson and their two children, Carol Pearson and Jonathan Pearson of Atlanta , Georgia; and two grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, L. Bruce Ballentine; and her brother, Victor B. Pearson.

A private internment was held for the family. A service to celebrate her life was held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church. The family received friends immediately following the service in the Sugg Foyer at the church. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, 1501 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount , N.C. 27804 .

Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
