NASHVILLE - Doretha Holland Richardson, 85 died Tuesday, December 12, 2006. She was born in Nash County, September 5, 1921, daughter of the late Arthur Thomas Holland, Sr. and Pattie Lee Thorne Holland.
Her husband Norman E. Richardson, brothers, Bill Holland, Wilbur Holland and Millard Holland, and sister, Eloise Collier preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Norma Faye Collie and husband, Archie of Nashville; sisters, Eva Brown, Dorothy Hardy and husand, Sam and Lynn Hicks all of Nashville; brothers, A. T. Holland, Jr. and wife Bernice and Gene Holland and wife Eloise all of Nashville; one granddaughter; one grandson; and one great grandson.
Services were held at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 226 S. Barnes Street, Nashville on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tony Shearin and Gene Holland officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville, NC.
