Marjorie “Peg” Cooper Fehnel, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010. She was born in Schenectady, NY on September 25, 1926 to Henry and Lillian Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Fehnel and two brothers, Leroy Cooper and Theodore Cooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Gredler and husband Tim of Rocky Mount, NC; 2 granddaughters; her son, Bob Fehnel and wife Cheri of Rochester, NY; 2 grandsons, and soon to be great-grandson; sister, Marion Puck of Zion, IL and brother, Roland Cooper of Ticonderoga, NY.
A celebration service to remember Peg was held at Nashville United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. The family received friends at Peg’s home, 4944 Plantation Drive in the Red Oak community from 1:00-5:00p.m. Saturday afternoon.
A second celebration service to honor Peg will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Wayside Presbyterian Church in Erie, PA. Rev. Jim Haas will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
