Elizabeth Gupton Boone, 92, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010. She was born June 21, 1918 to the late Robert and Emma Gupton. Her husband (Lee Otha “Tink” Boone), sisters (Peggy, Ruby, Estelle, and “Beck”), a brother (“Pluto”), and infant son (Robbie High) preceded her in death.
Elizabeth is survived by five children and their spouses; Jean and Bobby Joyner, Kenneth and Aster Boone, Terry and Hilda Boone, Lee Otha and Cathy Boone and Steve and Sheilah Boone; brothers and their spouses, Bill and Betty Lou Gupton, “Pete” and Edith Gupton; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Service was Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Carpenter officiating. Visitation followed after the service. Burial was a private service for the family. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Vaughan’s Chapel Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
