SANDY CROSS - Sybil Leigh Baker, 65, passed away, Sunday, July 18, 2010. She was born July 30, 1944 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Sam C. and Letha Viverette Baker. Sybil was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah House and Madelle Baker, one brother, Futrell Baker.
She is survived by four sisters, Dorothy Davis, Frances Joyner, Beatrice Eggers and Vivian Cockrell.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The funeral service followed in the Chapel with the Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating. The burial was a private family service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sandy Cross United Methodist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
