NASHVILLE - Margaret M. Edwards, 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. She was born December 20, 1920 in Nash County. Margaret was the daughter of the late Johnny H and Clyde Richardson Matthews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley Woodrow Edwards.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two son Steve Edwards and Stanley Edwards and wife Marcia all of Nashville, daughter Margaret Groome of Nashville, two sisters Eura Wells of Nashville, Ola Rogers of Raleigh, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was on Thursday July 1st from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral service were held on Friday July 2nd at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Edwards officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Elm Grove Baptist Church.
