James Thomas “Buddy” Robinson, 83, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010. He was born July 19, 1926 in Nash County, NC. He was the son of the late Jimmy and Clara Robinson. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Rachel Bissette Robinson; his sisters, Louise Robinson Burchette and Dorothy Robinson Bobbitt.
He is survived by James Burton Robinson and wife Nell of Jacksonville, FL, Tara Robinson Larson and husband Jeffrey of Raleigh, and Hunter Bissette Robinson and wife Charlotte of Rocky Mount; his sister, Julia Robinson Tate; his grandchildren, Michael Robinson, Megan Robinson, Jarrod Robinson, Tracy Mariani, and Paul Richard Mariani; four great grand grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. Graveside services were held 11 am Monday, June 21, 2010 at Pineview Cemetery.
