JEAN ADAMS THORNE
Jean Adams Thorne, 61, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 17, 2010. She was born August 16, 1948 in Edgecombe County, daughter of the late James “Bookie” Adams and Doris Gay Adams. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Adams.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lenno Thorne; two sons, Lenno Thorne, Jr. of Rocky Mount and Brandon Thorne of the home; daughter, Rhonda Willis of Castalia; 2 grandsons; two sisters, Kay Adams of Rocky Mount and Lori Adams of Tarboro; brother, James Adams of Rocky Mount; and half-sister, Helen Jordan of Rocky Mount.

A funeral service was held  at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Hinton officiating. Visitation with the family was from 7-8:30p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Burial followed the service at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
