LANNIE WILKINS SHEARIN
ROCKY MOUNT -  Lannie Wilkins Shearin, age 92, of Rocky Mount passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010. She was born November 14, 1917 in Edgecombe County to the late Charlie and Emma Wilkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Grady Henry Shearin and three children: Joseph Earl Shearin, Francis Jean Shearin, and Carolyn Jane Waddell.  Lannie is survived by sister Nanie May Hardy of New Bern, N.C.; children Margaret West of Rocky Mount and friend David Brantley of Lucama, Faye Taylor and husband Elbert, Tony Shearin and wife Shirley, Charles Shearin and wife Jan, all of Rocky Mount, and surrounding areas; Barbara Berry and husband Richard of Williamsburg, Va.; Gail Newsome and husband Atlas of Hopewell, Va.; David Shearin and wife Vicki of Las Vegas, NV, 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends and relatives from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road in Rocky Mount, N.C. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Johnson’s Chapel with  her son Pastor David Shearin officiating. Burial followed at the Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak, NC
