LENA BRADSHAW ELLIS
ROCKY MOUNT – Lena Bradshaw Ellis, 87 passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was born in Sampson County February 19, 1923 to the late Edgar and Viola King Bradshaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Battle Ellis, son in law, Buddy Moore and four brothers, Thurman, Harvey, Roy and Carlton Bradshaw.

She is survived by daughters, Phyllis Moore of Rocky Mount, Sheila Trevathan and husband Wayne of Tarboro, Joan Wall and Jerry Williams of Nashville; son Keith Ellis and wife Jessica of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lena B. Ellis will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Chapel with Pastor Terry Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

The famil received friends from 7-8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Phyllis Moore.

Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Sisterhood of Hope, c/o Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount.
