Red Oak Community News
Madgie Macklin, Dorothy Pearce, Audrey Pearce, and Suzy Pearce attended the reception in honor of Peggy Parker’s 80th birthday on Saturday, April 17.  The celebration was given by her children Tom Parker and Cheryl Pridgen at Marvin United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount.  Festivities included refreshments which featured decorated cupcakes, punch, sandwiches, and many other tasty treats along with singing “Happy Birthday”. Peggy also had a great time visiting with family and friends and opening the many gifts she received!  It was also a very happy time for the guests, too, as they enjoyed visiting with Peggy and her family and many other special friends who attended.  Happy Birthday, Peggy!

The youth of Red Oak Baptist Church had a wonderful time last Friday and Saturday at the lock-in at Adventure Landing!  Approximately 40 youth, adults, and friends participated.
