Clara Bowen, 76, formerly of Nashville, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Savannah, GA. She was born February 16, 1934 in Lucama, NC. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Goldie Ferrell Crumpler. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Charles “Hoppy” Crumpler, Jr., Terry Crumpler, and Carroll “Red” Crumpler.
Clara is survived by her husband, Albert Lee Bowen of the home, Claxton, GA; sons, Darrell Albert Bowen and wife Rebeca of Riverview, FL, Jeffrey Lee Bowen and wife Sonya of Claxton, GA; five grandchildren,; brother-in-law, Arthur Bowen and wife Donna of Ormond Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Judi Williams and husband Herbert of Whitakers; Linda Arnold and husband Tom of Rocky Mount, Jan Shearin and husband Charlie of Nashville, Debbie Brewer and husband Kenny of Cape Coral, FL, Virginia Crumpler of Sanston, VA, and Pearl Crumpler of Kenly, NC; and a special Aunt.
Funeral services wewre held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. Visitation followed the service.
