GLADYS MAE PITTS
Gladys Mae Pitts, 81, passed away, Wednesday, January 20, 2010. She was born September 28, 1928 in Wilson County. She was the daughter of the late, George and Victoria Lucas Williams. Gladys was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Jackson Pitts.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Pitts and wife Terry of Rocky Mount, three daughters, Carol Medlin and husband Wade, Diane Adkins and husband Larry, all of Rocky Mount, and Teresa Pitts of Durham, NC, one sister, Beulah Sherrod of Bailey, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren    

Visitation was held Friday, January 22, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral services were held  Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Finley Cutshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Bailey Cemetery in Bailey.
