Hubert Ray Parrish, 92, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010.
Mr. Parrish was a native of Nash County, the son of the late Charlie Hillard Parrish and Lucy Ida Lucas Parrish.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Ray Parrish; six sisters and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith Hope Moore “Cookie” Parrish; his daughter, Cathy Parrish Myers of Youngsville, NC; a granddaughter, grandson and three great-grandchildren.
Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where a memorial service with military honors will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Henry Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
