PATSY R. CHADWICK
ROCKY MOUNT - Patsy R. Chadwick, 70, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Autumn Care in Nashville, after a brief but brave battle with ovarian cancer. Patsy was born to Joseph Glendon and Hazel Faircloth Rackley on December 8, 1938, and the first of seven children from their union. Patsy was married to Julian M. Chadwick on October 24, 1959, and they were married 23 years until Julian’s death on November 11, 1981.

In addition to Julian, Patsy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Glendon and Hazel Faircloth Rackley; a grandchild, Timothy Ray Chadwick, three brothers, Kenneth Ray and Charles Benny Rackley, Joseph Milton; a sister, Joyce Annette Gray; a nephew, Joseph Wayne Rackley, Jr.

Patsy is survived by her children, Cheryl Ann Landin, of Rocky Mount; a son, Julian M. Chadwick, of Williamston; a son, Edward Ray Chadwick, of the home; and a daughter, Virginia Lynn Fisher, of Middlesex; four grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Wayne Rackley, Sr., Robert Glendon Rackley, four sisters, Mary Alice Lewis, Elva Louise Rackley, Dorothy Odom and Mary Louise Adkins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home and other times at the home of Cheryl Ann Landin, 2662 Price Lane, Rocky Mount. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Jones Officiating. Burial will follow at Boone Family Cemetery.
