DONALD GARY GLISSON

Donald Gary Glisson, 81, passed away April 28, 2009. He was born August 31, 1927 in Girard, Georgia. He was the son of the late, Duncan and Leona Meyers Glisson. Donald was a member for over 50 years with the Nashville Lions Club and was very active inNashville United Methodist Church; and many Nashville area Community services. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Lefler Glisson and second wife, Lottie Snyder Miller Glisson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Ruth Glisson and son, Grant Glisson, both of Nashville, step-son Stan Miller of Raleigh, step-daughter, Maria Miller Pfannkuch and husband Blaine of Warrenton, Va., brother, Robert Britton Glisson of Virginia Beach, Va., two grandchildren, Grayson Glisson Nichols, Kelsey Glisson, two step-grandchildren, Elaina and Marissa Pfannkuch.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 7:00-9:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00AM at Nashville MethodistChurch with the Rev, Wayne Hicks and Rev. Ed Poston officiating. Burial will follow at ForestHill Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Nashville United Methodist Church– Belarussian Children’s Ministry at PO Box 86, Nashville, NC 27856. On-line condolences may be sent to the Glisson family by visiting www.cornerstonefuneralhomeandcremations.com.
