ROCKY MOUNT - Minnie Baker Billups, age 83, passed away on September 10, 2026. Born in Nash County on March 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Luther Baker and Mattie Pridgen Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas "Tom" Wayne Billups; and her brothers, Lodis "Albert" Baker (Marie), Remus Randolph "Shine" Baker (Maggie Lee), Doc Baker (Kathleen), and Jimmy Baker (Inez).
She is survived by her son, Thomas "Ray" Billups and wife, Meg; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held September 13, 2026 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Mike Edwards officiating.
A committal service was held September 14, 2026 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum. Entombment followed the service.
