ALVIN “BIRD” L. BONE
Alvin “Bird” L. Bone, 72, passed away, Thursday, March 26, 2009. He was born May 1, 1936 in Nash County. Bird was the son of the late, Luther and Eva Winstead Bone.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 15 years, Elsie Bone, five sons, Jeff Bone and wife Deedee of Elm City, Danny Bone and wife Tina of Elm City, Terry Bone and Nikki of Gaston Lake, Joe Proctor of Rocky Mount, William Herbert Proctor and wife Donna of Suffolk, VA., two sisters, Joyce Joyner of Elm City and Marjorie Joyner of Nashville, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 4:00-6:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service was Monday, March 30, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Reavis and Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
