JOSEPHINE MARIE CARPENTER

Josephine Marie Carpenter, born May 24, 1939, to the late David Hight and Catherine Thompson Hight, passed away on February 5, 2026.

Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Payne (David) and Ruby Carpenter; three brothers, David Hight Jr. (Lila), Raymond Hight, and Glen Hight (Wanda); and three sisters, Mayalee Vaughn, Barbara Alford (Ray), and Peggy Lynch; three grandchildren; seven great‑grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Redman Carpenter, and one granddaughter, April Patterson.

A graveside service was held February 10, 2026, at Forest Hill Cemetery.
