SPRING HOPE - Albert "Junior" Blackman, age 77, passed away September 12, 2025.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Total Impact Outreach Ministries, Wilson. Interment will follow in the Drewery Family Cemetery in Spring Hope. A musical celebration will be held on Friday evening from 6-7 p.m. at William Toney's Funeral Home 516 S. Poplar Street in Spring Hope.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Blackman; his children, Cynthia Barfield of Garner, Toney Blackmon of Charlotte, Crystal Hinton (Tony) of MD, Wanda Jenkins (Nathaniel) of Spring Hope, Lakesha Scott (Jered) of Castalia, Albert Blackman, III (Krystal) of Middlesex, Claudette Joyner (Anthony), Sheila Smith (John), Lisa Baton and Charles Baton all of MD; (one daughter, Carmen Vick preceded him in death); a niece and nephew; his siblings, Martha Ann Drewery of Spring Hope, Betty Jean Lucas of Mebane, Yvonnia Blackmon of Raleigh, Danny Ray Blackmon (Joyce) of Zebulon and Matilda Barnes of Texas; 22 grandchildren including one grandson reared in the home; 12 great grandchildren; two grandchildren preceded him in death; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. |
